On July 20, several staff members (and their families!) from PSCCU's branches participated in Vashon Island's annual Strawberry Festival. PSCCU team members marched in the parade; passed out strawberry candy, popsicles, and strawberry-themed trinkets like bracelets and bubbles; and helped people refill their water bottles in the hot weather. We can't wait for next year!
The Strawberry Festival on Vashon Island began in 1912, at a time when the island was home to many commercial strawberry farms. Today the celebration honors the island's heritage and is known for its jubilant parade; lots of live music; separate classic car parade which always includes a collection of antique, running tractors; and fun for the whole family.
PSCCU is a proud supporter of the Vashon Island Chamber of Commerce.
