PSCCU is committed to supporting green organizations in the communities we serve and is proud to sponsor the Raisbeck High School Green Energy Team from Tukwila in this year's Solar Car Challenge.
Established in 2015, the Raisbeck Aviation High School (RAHS) Green Energy Team is a high school student-led club that is committed to engineering and collaborating to solve real-world problems with a particular focus on green energy and the environment. Throughout the club’s history, the team has participated in various design challenges in the field of renewable energy.
Each year, the talented and committed students from the Green Energy Team design and build a NEW solar-powered car that competes in several days of races and competition during the summer in Texas. This year's competition was especially successful as the team brought home awards for the Day 3 race, the first place trophy for the advanced division, and received the William Shih Award, presented to “the team displaying the highest level of engineering excellence.”
PSCCU extends its heart-felt congratulations to the entire team and to the parents and mentors who help guide the students. Learn more about this year's season on their blog at https://rahsgreenenergy.com/blog/ or make a tax-free donation to the team at https://rahsgreenenergy.com/donations/.
